Processing timeframes
A 30-day statutory period for processing your request commenced from 19
August 2024, in accordance with section 15(5)(b) of the FOI Act. Therefore
the due date for a decision on access is 17 September 2024.
Extension of time request
We have undertaken preliminary searches and have been informed that our
Technical advisory branch is currently experiencing a high volume of
document requests, which may result in potential delays in fulfilling your
request within the legislative 30-day timeframe. I am therefore seeking
your agreement to a 15-day extension of time under section 15AA of the FOI
Act. If you agree to this extension, the new due date for us to make a
decision on your request will be 2 October 2024. Please let us know
whether you agree at your earliest convenience.
This period may be extended if we need to consult with third parties or
for other reasons. We will advise you if this happens.
