You FOI request was received by the Office of the Australian Information
Commissioner (OAIC) on 10 August 2024. This means that a decision on your
FOI request is currently due on 9 September 2024.

Clarification on the scope of your request

Your FOI request was made in the following terms:

I request access to the following documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982:

1.       Operating procedures or similar documents that govern how an IC
Review is conducted, including template documents and template emails.

For clarity, the following is provided as guidance only on the scope and
intentions of my request:

I am seeking documents similar to those released in the following FOI
requests:

Timeframes for dealing with your request

Section 15 of the FOI Act requires the OAIC to process your request no
later than 30 days after the day we receive it. However, section 15(6) of
the FOI Act allows us a further 30 days in situations where we need to
consult with third parties about certain information, such as business
documents or documents affecting their personal privacy.

The current decision due date for your request is 9 September 2024. We
will advise you if this timeframe is otherwise extended.

I refer to your email of 8 October 2024, in which you requested an
internal review of the OAIC’s FOI decision provided on 9 September 2024
(FOIREQ24/00397).

Your request FOIREQ24/00508, was made in the following terms:

I am writing to request an internal review of the OAIC's handling of my
FOI request 'FOI review and complaint documents August 2024'
(FOIREQ24/00397).

My request for review is based on two main concerns:

1. Potentially Missing Documents:

I believe there may be documents within the scope of my request that were
not released. These include:

- 55R letter template

- 55R covering email template

- From FOIREQ24/00330: the template email of "Recent charges decision and
invitation to make a revised decision" and template "Attachment to
document 1 – Letter about charges"

I request a fresh search for documents that fit the scope of "policies,
procedures and templates that govern how the OAIC processes IC reviews and
FOI complaints."

2. Inclusion of Previously Released Documents:

The scope of my original request did not exclude documents already
uploaded to the disclosure log. This means that documents released under
FOIREQ23/00111, FOIREQ23/00156, FOIREQ23/00196, and FOIREQ24/00330 should
be within the scope of this request.
