Income apportionment

We're waiting for Debt Hero to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Department of Social Services,

The AAT has been looking at an income apportionment matter which is four years after the department says it found out about income apportionment. I want documents showing why this wasn’t resolved before this court case. This seems like robodebt.
Specifically:
- All documents showing directions provided by the minister or government to fix income apportionment quickly.
- All advice provided to the minister on options to resolve income apportionment. All documents showing why there has been a four year delay in resolving income apportionment.

Yours faithfully,
Debt Hero

Good morning Debt Hero

We suspect the information you’re seeking is publicly available or has
previously been released under FOI.

As a starting point you can read the two Commonwealth Ombudsman’s reports
on the income apportionment issue [1]here and [2]here.

Secondly on 29 February 2024 we responded to the FOI request 49033 which
sought Briefing documents prepared for Minister Rishworth in relation to
income apportionment. The documents released in response are attached for
you.

As the terms of your request appear to be met with the provision of these
documents, are you open to withdrawing your request?

Regards
