Time of Construction Workers Incidents
Dear WorkSafe Tasmania,
I am a final year student from Melbourne Polytechnic and I would like to make a humble request some data to assist my current research for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act.
My study focuses on construction safety at night that analyse whether current safety measures is effective within the construction industry. This study may have the potential to improve construction workers safety issue at night, which there are very limited existing research and regulations in Australia.
The document that I am willing to obtain is an anonymous data of time and place of incidents from construction workers between the year 2003-as late as possible.

Insurers provide workers' injury claim details to WorkCover Tasmania with incident particulars to the resolution of injury date without time details. We have however examined the data with keyword searches on event details and could identify one incident since 2008 linking working at night (or in the dark) as a possible relationship with reported injuries in the Tasmanian construction industry. This is not to say there weren’t more cases which may have occurred at night but we have not been able to identify them with certainty from the data provided to us.
The details of the injury are as follows:
