I request documents related to the ten most recent instances where an employee has sought information, advice, guidance, or opinion on their social media use in a private capacity.

I limit the scope of documents to:
- the original request from the employee
- the agency/department's response
- any follow-up questions and response
- only those sent to a relevant HR / conduct / social media (or similar) team (rather than managers across all areas of the organisation)
- where the original request was created in the last 2 years

Dear Mr Smith,

Thank you for your application to the Department of Education for access
to government information. Your email was dated 8 August 2017. Below are
the terms of your request.

 

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

 

I request documents related to the ten most recent instances where an
employee has sought information, advice, guidance, or opinion on their
social media use in a private capacity.

 

I limit the scope of documents to:

- the original request from the employee

- the agency/department's response

- any follow-up questions and response

- only those sent to a relevant HR / conduct / social media (or similar)
team (rather than managers across all areas of the organisation)

- where the original request was created in the last 2 years

The Northern Territory Information Act sets out a number of requirements
to be met for an application to be considered valid. The relevant parts of
Section 18 state:

 

(2)          An application is to:

                (a)     be in writing; and

                (b)     specify the name of the applicant; and

                (c)     include sufficient details to identify the
information; and

                (d)     specify an address to which correspondence
regarding the application may be sent to the applicant.

(2A)       The application is to be accompanied by the application fee.

(3)          Before accepting an application, a public sector organisation
must satisfy itself as to the identity of the applicant.

For your application to be accepted as valid, you need to provide evidence
of your identity (such as a driver’s licence or passport), and pay the
application fee of $30.

 

Payment can be made by cheque by post or in person to the nearest Receiver
of Territory Monies (RTM) location listed below. Credit card payment can
be made in person to the nearest RTM location listed below, or by phone to
(08) 8999 1606.
