Dear City of Belmont,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to formally request access to the City of Belmont's current and previous Workforce Plans under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA).

I understand from a response to a question I submitted at an Ordinary Council Meeting that the Workforce Plan is described as an internal operational document. However, as per the guidelines provided by the Office of the Information Commissioner, internal documents that relate to the City’s planning and governance may still be accessible under the WA FOI Act, provided no specific exemptions apply.

Please advise me of any relevant fees and charges associated with this request and if any additional information is required.

If available, I would prefer to receive the documents in electronic format.

Good afternoon Matt,

 

I have been made aware that you had made an FOI application for access to
our Workforce Plan document, as per the City’s response to your request at
the OCM this document is an internal operational document, however upon
review, I am happy to release the plan you have requested outside of the
FOI process. 

 

As I have managed to catch this before you were required to pay the FOI
application fee, could you please respond by return email that the
document attached is the one you were seeking and no longer require this
information through FOI.

 

If you have any questions regarding the plan, please do not hesitate to
contact me directly, either by return email or if you wish to discuss

(the City) Workforce Plans under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA).

 

I understand that you have been provided a copy of the plan on 17/10/2024
outside the FOI process.

 

Hence, please be advised that the City will not proceed with this FOI
application and would consider the application has been withdrawn.
