We have made enquiries with the relevant departmental business area and
have been advised that the Department of Education does not hold
vocational education and training (VET) data.

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) is the
national professional body responsible for collecting, managing, analysing
and communicating research and statistics on the Australian VET sector.
The data collected by NCVER includes data on VET delivered by Australian
training providers, including program and subject enrolments.  The NCVER
website provides an extensive range of information and data, including
data products for general, regular or expert users of data.

If you haven’t already done so, you may wish to consider reviewing the
data available on the NCVER website to see if it meets your needs.

Responsibility for vocational education rests with the Department of
Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) rather than the Department of

wish to proceed with a freedom of information request, information
