If you can provide the following in csv as raw data, then that would be great.
Number of enrolments,
by year,
by training package,
by VET course,
by age band,
by region name.
by RTO (if possible)
by funded/not funded (if possible)

Dear Sam,
I refer to your request received on 10 December 2024 by the Department of
Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions seeking documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
Your reference ID 12217.
Valid FOI requests
Under section 17(2A) of the FOI Act, in order for a request to be valid,
it must:
o be accompanied by payment of the application fee of $32.70 or evidence

the data to be matched in some way.
Additionally, I have been advised by the program area that some of the
information you seek is published proactively through NCVER data releases

This link contains data for enrolments by state, funded places, age
ranges, and regional status.
Under section 17 of the FOI Act, the department has a duty to assist you
in making a request that complies with the FOI Act. Please be advised that
even if you clarify, clarify exemptions may still apply.
In this instance we suggest your request is clarified to:
“A document showing the number of enrolments in RTOs in Victoria per year
(DATE RANGE) for each of the following categories:
o Training package
o VET course
o Age band
o Region
o RTO
o Funded/not funded”

Good Afternoon,
I refer to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act 1982 (the Act) received by this agency on 10 December 2024 seeking
access to:
“RTO Enrolment Data - If you can provide the following in csv as raw data,
then that would be great:
o Number of enrolments,
o by year,
o by training package,
o by VET course,
o by age band,
o by region name.
o by RTO (if possible)
o by funded/not funded (if possible).”
In response to your request this office sent you an email on 17 December
2024 in which you were advised of the requirement under section s17(2) of
the Act for your request to be clarified and accompanied by an application
fee. A response from you was due by 7 January 2025.
As no response have been received by this office, we now consider this
matter closed. Please note that this does not preclude you from making
another request in the future.
