OFFICIAL
Dear Mr Hamiltonshire,
In accordance with section 15(5)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982
(the FOI Act), I confirm receipt of your request to Professional Services
Review (PSR) received 6 December 2024, seeking access under the FOI Act to
the Style Guides, Brand Guides and Writing Guides currently used by PSR.
In regard to writing and style guides, as a Commonwealth agency, we are
required to use the Australian Government Style Manual, which is available
at [1]https://www.stylemanual.gov.au/. This manual outlines writing and
style requirements, and is the primary resource used at PSR.
Regarding PSR’s brand guide, please find attached two documents relating
to PSR branding. These documents inform branding decisions regarding PSR
designs, including agency logo and colours, and are used currently when
preparing branded content. We have decided to provide these documents to
you under administrative release rather than in accordance with the FOI
Act. If you would still like PSR to process your FOI request please let us
know by 19 December 2024. Importantly, merits review is not available for
decisions to provide documents through administrative release. The OAIC
provides more information about the difference between administrative
access and access under the FOI Act [2]here.
If you have any questions relating to the request, please be in contact by
email to [3][email address].
Kind regards,
Stephanie
