Prosecution Guidines for the NACC

We're waiting for P.C. Sweeney to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear National Anti-Corruption Commission,

The document I seek is a copy of a document entitled "Prosecution Policy of the National Anti-Corruption Commission" or similar.

I note that the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP) has a document titled:

PROSECUTION POLICY OF THE COMMONWEALTH
GUIDELINES FOR THE MAKING OF DECISIONS IN THE PROSECUTION PROCESS

However, the remit of the CDPP is much wider than that of the NACC and so any Prosecution Policy of the NACC would be focused on allegations of misconduct by Commonwealth Public Officials and other parties associated with such alleged misconduct.

The alleged misconduct would need to be of a serious nature to enliven the term "Corruption" as opposed to say incompetence, since cases of incompentence might be referred to the NACC by victims of incompetence which is common in the Commonwealth Public Service.

Yours faithfully,

P.C. Sweeney
