This Freedom of Information request requires the total number of
any kind of Immigration Detention Centres being in use and their names and locations from the year 2000 to 2014.

Please have a look at my annotation on the request called "Gender balance of detainees from years 2000-2014" (https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/g...). There are many parts of similarity to this request and my comment on the "Gender balance" request can also speak here.
There is a slight difference with the request on this page and it is maybe more similar to the request on the page of "Capacity of detention" (https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/c...). The applicant could maybe change the request easily so that it is for some documents. For example, a person can expect that there will be a document that says the name and place of each detention facility. Even if there is not one document it must be the case that for each detention facility there is at least one document to give its name! So the applicant can make the request for documents of this type.
