Dear Mr Faulknor
Thank you for your enquiry to the Commonwealth Department of Health.
A request made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) is one which seeks access to documents that may be held by a department or portfolio agency. Your enquiry is not seeking access to documents and is therefore is not considered to be a valid request under the FOI Act. As such the department is not able to action your enquiry as a FOI request.
Should you wish to make a FOI request to the Department or discuss any FOI related matters the Department's FOI Unit can be contacted via email at [email address] or via telephone on (02) 6289 1666.
For your reference, the information you are seeking may be collected by State and Territory Departments of Health as they have oversight of public hospitals. You may wish to contact the respective health departments to seek access to this information.
I trust this has been of assistance.
Kind regards
FOI Unit / Legal Services Branch

Dear Department of Health,
Thank you for your reply - I will reframe the question.
Please provide me with any document that lists the hospitals/authorities who process, test and store the heel prick tests (guthrie cards) within Australia. Alternatively if no such single document exists, please provide me with any aggregation of documents that collectively list the hospitals or authorities that process, test and store the heel prick tests .... If possible, please treat this as a request for access under administrative arrangements; if not, please treat it as a formal request under the FOI Act
Yours faithfully,
charlie:faulknor
