Internal Audit policy and disclosure
RDear Department of the Treasury,
I would like to know what is the Treasury policy in respect to the disclosure of internal audit reports
Yours faithfully,
Robert J Cochrane CPA
Dear Mr Cochrane
On 16 November 2019 you advised you would like to know what is the Treasury policy in respect to the disclosure of internal audit reports.
The Treasury does not have a written policy on the disclosure of internal audit reports.
The disclosure of reports would be subject to consideration of many factors, including the report's classification and the Treasury privacy policy, which sets out how the department complies with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
We trust this satisfies your enquiry.
Kind regards
Freedom of Information Officer
The Treasury
