Interim Commissioner to Investigate Veteran Suicides - Details
Dear Attorney-General's Department,
On 5 February 2020 the Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced he will appoint a permanent independent commissioner to investigate veteran suicide in Australia.
He also said this would be preceded by an appointment of an Interim National Commissioner for Defence and Veteran Suicide Prevention. These positions would sit under the control of the Attorney Generals Department.

that date. You should therefore expect a decision from us by 16 November
2020. However, the period of 30 days may be extended if the department

government authorities, the department’s practice is to not disclose
