Dear Insurance Commission of Western Australia,

Would you please advise if ICWA insures public officers, i.e. public liability insurance, employed by local government authorities across Western Australia?

If so, does this cover all public officers? Or is such liability insurance only for a specific group, such as executive?

What officers are covered by public liability insurance, i.e. list of job description/roles?

What is the terms of reference that describe the insurance coverage for such insurance policies for the above public officers, for instance, is it their job description, code of conduct, are there any other documents that describe the liability coverage for these public officers?

If ICWA does not insure public officers in local government, or insures limited officers, what other company provides such public liability insurance please?

Thanks for your email, which has been passed to me as it does not appear to constitute a Freedom of Information request.

The Insurance Commission of WA, as part of it's insurance operations, provides various insurances to the State Government agencies. The Insurance Commission of WA does not provide any insurance to local government.

The Local Government Insurance Service is the entity who manages insurance arrangement for local governments.
