Colour Bonding (above), by Archibald Prize winner Blak Douglas, was commissioned as part of our Reconciliation Action Plan. The artwork depicts simple housing structures, reflecting that housing is a basic human need and fundamental to the wellbeing of all Australians. The people constructing the houses are everyday Australians working together in the spirit of reconciliation, reminding us of the collaborative approach needed to help address the housing challenges facing Australia.
We acknowledge the Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and communities. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to Elders past and present.
