In accordance with s. 68A of the Parliamentary Service Act 1999, since Friday 28 June 2013, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) has been excluded from compliance with requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act). However, wherever possible, the Department of Parliamentary Services will consider requests in relation to administrative matters and may provide access to information that would have been disclosed if the Act applied.
With respect to your request, you are seeking 'administrative access to all reports regarding the Hansard Production System in the calendar year 2013'. Dear Mr Degan
I refer to your email dated 28 December 2013 and our subsequent email
exchange in which you confirmed you were seeking access to administrative
reports produced in 2013 about the Hansard Production System (HPS).
I am writing to advise that I am able to provide access to the only
reports the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) produces about the
HPS that could be considered as 'administrative'.
These reports are not written with an external audience in mind, and are
prepared each month by an IT support team to inform Hansard management of
the technical issues and support calls dealt with in the previous month.
To preserve the privacy of individuals in DPS and in contractor
organisations, along with protecting any commercially sensitive
information, we have redacted some sections of these reports.
