Freedom of Information Logs - FOI Request

We're waiting for Watson Norwood to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Australian Federal Police,

I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for a complete copy of the departments' Freedom of Information (FOI) logs for the period 2013-2023, including any secondary departments controlled by the agency.

I request that this is provided as a document and not a simple redirect to the agency website as I am of the view that your online disclosure logs do not actively reflect your FOI requests that you have received in this period.

I would appreciate it if you could provide me with this information in an electronic format, such as a PDF or spreadsheet, if possible.

If there are any fees associated with fulfilling this request, please let me know in advance so that I can consider my options.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Sincerely,

Watson Norwood

Dear Mr Norwood,

Thank you for your email and we apologise for the delay in contacting you.

As you may be aware, the Australian Federal Police is (relevantly) obliged
under s 11C(3)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to make
available for download from its website copies of documents it has
released to individuals under s 11A of the FOI Act. This obligation does
not apply in certain circumstances, for example, if doing so would be an
unreasonable disclosure of an individual's personal information. As you
are aware, the AFP publishes a disclosure log on its [1]website so it can
meet this obligation.

You have sought "a complete copy of the departments' Freedom of
Information (FOI) logs for the period 2013-2023, including any secondary
departments controlled by the agency". The disclosure log on the AFP's
website is up-to-date and provides a list of documents back until 2015.
While you have stated you would not like to receive a "re-direct to the
[AFP's] website", the disclosure log does in fact contain the information
you seek and this is the fastest and most convenient way for you to obtain
the information.

Since the information you seek is already available on the AFP's website,
the AFP will not take any further action in relation to your request and
will consider it withdrawn unless we hear otherwise from you in this
regard. We appreciate your interest in the disclosure log and please feel
free to contact us if you have any issues with downloading any of the
documents.

Regards,
