Employee information provided to ballot agents in Enterprise Agreement bargaining
Dear Department of the Treasury,
This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
I request the document(s) which describe the data provided to the external organisation(s) responsible for conducting the ballot(s) for all Enterprise Agreements put to staff for a vote.
The scope of this request is limited only to those ballots undertaken for enterprise agreements which were proposed to take effect after 30 June 2014.
The document shall describe the data given to the ballot agent. For example, employee name, employee identification number, employee email address, etc. I exclude the data for specific employees here; I am only after the 'meta-data'.
If it assists you to treat this as an administrative request for information I encourage you to do so. Otherwise, please consider this a formal FOI request.
Yours faithfully,
James Smith

Dear Mr Smith,
The Treasury is processing this request as an Administrative task rather
than an FOI request.
The Treasury commissioned ORIMA Research to conduct the Enterprise
Agreement 2015-18 Ballot.
ORIMA emailed most Treasury staff (at their Treasury email). For staff on
leave, depending on the details they left with the department on how they
wished to be communicated with, they received either an email or a
letter.
As a result, the data provided to ORIMA depended on the method of
communication: for instance, we only provided postal addresses for those
who were on leave/away from the department and who were to receive a
postal ballot. Where a postal address was provided, their Treasury email
address or personal email address was not provided. The common elements of
data provided were the AGS number, first name and surname.
The documents attached, in redacted form were provided to ORIMA. This
information was provided to ORIMA in-confidence.
Kind regards,
