FOI, Department of Social Services

Good afternoon Regents Park Resident

Thank you for contacting the Freedom of Information team at the Department
of Social Services.

It appears your request may have been sent to us in error, as internet
search results for Bankstown Bunker indicate that it was purchased by the
NSW Department of Housing in 1976.

Please note, under section 12(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act
1982, a person is not entitled to obtain access to documents within the
open access period. The majority of government documents enter the open
access period 20 years after the document is created. Information on the
open access period can be found on the National Archives of Australia
website
([1]https://www.naa.gov.au/access-records-un...).

You may wish to consider making a request for the documents to the
National Archives of Australia.

Kind regards
