I confirm the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) received your
Freedom of Information request on 22 May 2024.

 You advised you are seeking access to the following:

o All documents related to RTO 40798 Australian Education & Training
Group Pty Ltd, its creation, history and all files in relation to the
current action to cancel registration

As presently advised, the scope of your request is interpreted as to be
all the documents held by ASQA relating to the entity RTO 40798 Australian
Education & Training Group Pty Ltd.

Approached this way, the request is quite broad with preliminary searches
indicating there over 300 documents covered by the scope of the request.

If you can, please clarify what specific documents you are seeking access
to.

It may be that you are seeking access to the following:

o ASQA’s audit report(s) and other documents for Australian Education &
Training Group Pty Ltd (RTO Number 40798 relating to current
regulatory activity to cancel the RTO’s registration.

To assist ASQA in clarifying your request, please provide the following in
your response (if known):

o Names of specific documents;
o Any references numbers (e.g. audit reference numbers);
o Specific time-frame;
o Names of specific people relevant to the request; and
o Any other information which would assist ASQA in identifying the
relevant documents.

In order to progress your request into a form that meets the formal
requirements of section 15 of the FOI Act, can you please consider and
respond in writing to the FOI Team at your earliest convenience.

I note, even if your request is accepted and complies with section 15 of
the FOI Act, it may be that the work involved in processing your request
is considered an unreasonable diversion of resources pursuant to section
24 of the FOI Act. Until clarification has been received, no further
action in progressing your request will be taken by ASQA. The 30-day
statutory time period for making a decision on your request has not
started and will only commence once a valid request has been received.
