Heath McInerney

Dear Department of Health, I would like to know why "Male Circumcision" is no longer covered unless it is deemed absolutely necessary. It did used to be. The money it costs would be saved back numerous times, with the treatments that would be prevented by this simple measure. It is simply another immunisation.
Therer are plenty of available scientific studies showing that the benefits "FAR" outweigh the risks (world health organisiation).
Feel welcome to browse "Circumcision Information Australia" which is a Facebook page dedicated to highlighting the benefits and also contains a link to a comprehensive list of Dr's that perform the procedure. The only thing needed now is to bring back Medicare funding for this simple yet powerful procedure. I await your response
True freedom of choice, should not involve being restricted by your ability to pay or not.

Yours faithfully,

Heath McInerney
