Uluru Statement from the Heart
Dear National Indigenous Australians Agency,
I seek a copy of the full version of the Uluru Statement of the Heart as referred to on p.16 of the Final Report of the Referendum Council available online at https://www.referendumcouncil.org.au/sit....
I understand that the document is approximately 20-30 pages in length and includes road map(s) for implementation.
Prior to submitting this request, I have tried to locate the document as I had expected that it would be easily accessible on your website in light of the upcoming referendum. However, I have only been able to locate the one page version. If the document is publicly available or has been previously released, I would be agreeable to accepting administrative release of the document.
To assist with identification of the document, the document I am seeking is referred to on p. 16 of the Final Report of the Referendum Council. Extracts from the document I am seeking are included in shaded grey boxes on pp.16 to 32 of the Final Report.
Page 16 of the Report includes the following note which confirms that the shaded sections of text are extracts from the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
“Note: The shaded sections of text in the following pages are extracts from the Uluru Statement from the Heart.”
For the avoidance of doubt, I am seeking access to the complete unredacted document that is referred to as the Uluru Statement from the Heart in the note on p.16 of the Final Report.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
H

Dear FOI NIAA,
Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly and directing me to document 14 of the earlier FOI. I apologise for not locating this myself - I did my best to find a copy before submitting my request but had been looking for a standalone document and missed it amongst all of the other documents included in this FOI.
Can you please confirm that the document you referred me to (Document 14 from FOI
FOI 2223/016) is the Uluru Statement from the Heart (as referenced on p.16 of the Final Report of the Referendum Council referred to in my request)?
Subject to receiving confirmation that Document 14 is the Uluru Statement of the Heart requested in my FOI I confirm that I agree for my FOI to be considered withdrawn.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
H
