Dear FREEDOM OF INFORMATION-MGR,
My legal name differs from my used name, with a name change process occurring at the moment. Would it be suitable to send in my ID with my legal name, which is Miles Nahon? Please let me know as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Heather Broadbent
Dear FREEDOM OF INFORMATION-MGR,
I would also wish to request remittance for fees entailed due to my position as a journalist. My twitter is available at @heather_hmb and evidences my social presence as a journalist. I have also been published by the Swanston Gazette and Querelle magazine if any further doubts about my position as a journalist is in doubt.
In addition, I requested in my last message the use of my legal name for further procedures. However, the Freedom of Information Act 1982 does not require the submission of ID where my personal information is not involved.
Let me know if you have any further responses or questions.
Yours sincerely,
Heather Broadbent

Good afternoon,
Please note section 17(2A) of the Act which requires that a request must be accompanied by a statutory application fee of $29.60 through cheque or money order, made payable to the Freedom of Information Office, Victoria Police or documentary evidence that the application fee would cause financial hardship, i.e. health care card, pension card.
We do not doubt your position as a journalist, but there is nothing in the act providing journalists with any exemption, only where there is proof that the fee would cause financial hardship.
We accept that given your request, proof of ID is not required.
Regards
