OFFICIAL
OFFICIAL
Dear Alex Pentland,
I refer to your email seeking access under the Freedom of Information Act
(FOI Act) to style guides used by the NTC.
There are three documents that fall within the scope of your request. I
have decided to grant access in full to each of them.
The three documents are the National Transport Commission Style Guide, the
National Rail Skills Hub Style Guide, and the National Women in Transport
Style Guide.
Due to file sizes and limitations of the “right to know” email address, I
will forward each of the documents under separate email.
For completeness, the NTC also applies the Commonwealth style manual –
available on line at [1]https://www.stylemanual.gov.au/
Review rights
If you disagree with my decision, the FOI Act provides you with the right
to have my decision reviewed.
You can request an internal review of my decision. Someone other than me
would conduct the internal review. If you wish to seek an internal review
of my decision, you can apply in writing within 30 days. You can ask for
an internal review of your decision by emailing me.
We will advise you of our new decision within 30 days of receiving your
review request unless we need additional time and the OAIC grants us an
extension.
You can ask the Information Commissioner to review my original decision or
our internal review decision within 60 days of the date of decision. The
Information Commissioner can affirm, vary the decision or substitute a new
decision. The Information Commissioner may decide not to conduct a review
in certain circumstances. There are no charges for an Australian
Information Commissioner review.
More information is available on the [2]Office of the Australian
Information Commissioner (OAIC) website(link is external).
If you are unhappy with the way I have handled your FOI request, you can
contact the NTC at enquiries.ntc.gov. au and outline your concerns.
If you wish to take your complaint further, you can submit a complaint:
· via the [3]Office of the Australian Information Commissioner
· to the Commonwealth Ombudsman by phone [4]1300 362 072 or via
the [5]Commonwealth Ombudsman website
