Social media policy
Dear Australian Trade Commission,
I seek access to the following documents under the Freedom
of Information Act 1982:
1. Current social media policy of the department, which covers
departmental use and/or private use by employees in an individual
capacity.
2. Any current guidance material which is available for employees to make informed decisions about their private social media use.
Yours faithfully,
James Smith
Dear Mr Smith,
I refer to your email dated 18 April where you are seeking Austrade's social media policy as well as guidance material ('Request').
Austrade received your request on 18 April. The 30 day statutory period for processing your request commenced from the day after that date ie from 19 April. You can expect a decision on this Request by 18 May. However, we will aim to have this Request finalised as early as possible.
The period of 30 days to process this FOI request may be extended if we need to consult third parties, impose a charge, or for other reasons. We will let you know if this occurs. We will seek to process your request as quickly as possible.
You will be notified of any charges that Austrade may decide to impose in relation to your request as soon as possible before we process any documents that fall within the scope of your request.
Please also note that information released under the FOI Act may later be published online on our disclosure log (http://www.austrade.gov.au/FOI-disclosur...), subject to certain exceptions. (For example, personal information will not be published where this would be unreasonable.)
We will contact you using the email address you provided. Please advise if you would prefer us to use an alternative means of contact.
Kind regards,
