FOI Reference: 2024/318

Dear Tyler

We refer to your request, made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982
(the FOI Act) on 26 September 2024. The request is seeking access to:

…can I ask if it is possible to provide the following for the
International Organisations (Privileges and Immunities—Asian
Infrastructure Investment Bank) Regulation 2015 (Select Legislative
Instrument No. 172, 2015)?

I am looking for

Governor-General/Administrator and relevant ministers.
- documents that were submitted to the Governor-General/Administrator for
the Governor-General's/Administrator's signature of the Regulation (e.g.
notes, certificates etc.).

The current due date for a decision on your FOI request is 28 October
2024. Unfortunately, we are unable to make this timeframe. The Department
would like to work with applicants in managing the timeframes of its
requests, and the FOI Act has built-in provisions that facilitate
extensions in consultation with applicants, this enables agencies to
manage their FOI requests and keep them within time. Given this, we seek
your agreement to an extension of 14 days under section 15AA of the FOI
Act, this would extend the due date to 11 November 2024.

We would be grateful for your response indicating whether you agree to
this extension by 26 October 2024.

Yours sincerely
