Freedom of Information Request No. 58-1314 – Notification of transfer to
another agency

 

I refer to your request received by this Department on 26 May 2014 in
which you sought access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI
Act) to the following:

 

‘I wish to find out when the area known as 3RES will receive FTTP NBN. 
Under the previous government the commencement date was Q2 2014. 
Specifically, I request information regarding detailed design and field
inspection information, with information regarding a construction
instruction (CI) being issued’.

 

I am writing to inform you that this request has been transferred under
section 16 of the FOI Act to the NBN Co, as the subject matter of the
documents requested is more closely connected with the functions of that
agency.

 

NBN Co has agreed to accept the full transfer of your request and it will
make a decision regarding access to the documents you have sought. Under
subsection 16(5) of the FOI Act, your request is taken to be a request
made to NBN Co for access to their documents, on the date this Department
received it, namely 26 May 2014. The statutory period for processing the
request under the FOI Act is 30 days, which commenced on that date.

 

The FOI Officer at NBN Co. will in contact with you shortly concerning
your request. If you have any queries, you should contact the FOI area at
the NBN Co.
