Referendum to Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988

ACT Parliamentary Counsel's Office did not have the information requested.

Dear ACT Parliamentary Counsel's Office,

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I request a copy of the ACT Referendum approving the removal of restrictions on power from the (original) Australian Capital Territory (Self-Government) Act 1988.

The removal of such serious and substantial restrictions on power would have necessitated a referendum, and yet, I have been unable to find any evidence that such a referendum ever took place.

Due to the serious allegations raised herein, your urgent attention to this matter is appreciated.
Karen

Kind regards
JACS FOI
