Please provide the evidence relied upon to mandate covid 19 vaccines and boosters
Dear Queensland Police Service,
Having written to the Queensland Police Minister in September 2023, and receiving a fully inadequate response, I am now requesting the information through this platform.
Please provide to me, the evidence that the QPS relied upon to mandate the covid 19 vaccines and boosters to the entire QPS workforce.
Yours faithfully,
A. Rinaldi
Good Morning
Thank you for contacting the Queensland Police Service, Right to
Information and Subpoena Unit. I refer to your email below, regarding
access to documents held by the Queensland Police Service.
Should you wish to make an application for documents, you will need to
complete the attached access application form. Alternatively, you can also
apply online at- [1]http://www.rti.qld.gov.au/
You will also need to provide a certified copy of your identification.
This identification document can be a photocopy of a driver licence,
passport or a birth certificate. Please ensure that the photocopy has been
certified by either a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations
or a Solicitor. The identification must be certified within the past 12
months.
If the documents you seek access to contain your personal information
only, there is no charge associated with your request. If you seek access
to documents which do not concern your personal information or contain
another individual/s personal information, your request will be processed
pursuant to the Right to Information Act 2009 and therefore payment of the
application fee ($55.75) is required. An electronic payment link can be
issued once the application has been allocated to a case manager.
Your completed application form and certified identification document
should then be sent directly to this Unit either by post to:
Queensland Police Service
Right to Information & Subpoena Unit
GPO Box 1440
BRISBANE QLD 4001
or by email to:
[2][Queensland Police Service request email]
Once an RTI application is received the processing period begins (25
business days), even if it does not meet the requirements of the IP Act
(2009) or RTI Act (2009). Once the application has been made valid, the
application is then considered re-presented, and the legislation allows
our Unit twenty-five (25) business days to process your request. This can
be extended by an additional ten (10) business days if your request
requires us to consult with third parties.
Should you have any further enquiries concerning the application process,
please do not hesitate to contact this Unit on (07) 3364 4666 or in
writing to [3][Queensland Police Service request email].
Kind regards,
Vern B

While frustrating, the QLD Police are technically correct - if you are making a formal RTI request, they are legally required to charge the application fee of $55.75. This fee cannot be waived.
You might be able to reply to the QLD Police to see if they can process the request or provide the information without a formal RTI request. Sometimes they are willing to help even without a formal RTI request.
