Hi Melissa, if you have time then giving FOI Officer a call isn't a bad idea. They probably just want to help clarify your request.

However it's important that the results of any discussions are then put into an email and sent to the email address of each request. This keeps other people on Right To Know abreast of what's happening with these requests and keeps the process transparent.

If you don't have time or would rather keep the discussion fully transparent then you could reply here saying you'd rather keep to email. Ask FOI Officer to send any queries they have using the email address for each request.

Good luck, Henare

Dear Ms Sweet

I refer to your two attached FOI requests to the Department of Health,
received on 13 October 2018, seeking respectively:

·         “all of the Department's documents and reports about the health
impacts of climate change since 2014” (our reference: FOI 881), and

·         “all Ministerial briefing papers and documents about climate
change and its health impacts that have been prepared since 2014 ” (our
reference: FOI 888).

As discussed with Casey on the phone yesterday, documents within the scope
of the second request (FOI 888) are likely to be captured within the scope
of the first request (FOI 881). For this reason, could you please advise
as to whether you agree to withdraw request FOI 888.

Could you please confirm in writing by close of business on Thursday 25
October 2018 whether you wish to withdraw request FOI 888.

Kind regards,
Nicole
