Louise Milligan legal costing
Dear Australian Broadcasting Corporation,
I know you are committed to open and transparent communiques and as a tax payer I would like completely unedited, unredacted and no blacking out of the Louise Milligan legal expenses funded by your organisation with my money.
Should you require and as I don't believe the taxpayer should fund my request, I am happy to come and pick the documents up once you have prepared them for me.
Yours faithfully,
Brett Johnson
Dear Mr Johnson

Dear Mr Johnson
I refer to your email of Saturday 6 November 2021, where you stated: “I
would like completely unedited, unredacted and no blacking out of the

Would you kindly confirm whether this is a request made pursuant to the
Freedom of Information Act 1982? Further could you clarify a time period
and provide more detail as to what you mean by “Louise Milligan legal
expenses funded by [ABC]”.
Many thanks, FOI Advisor

Dear Mr Johnson
The ABC is required to consult with third parties under section 27 of the
Freedom of Information Act (Cth) 1982. As such, the time for processing
this request is extended by 30 days under section 15(6) of the FOI Act.
Our decision is now due on Wednesday 5 January 2022.
Many thanks, FOI Advisor

Dear Mr Johnson
I refer to our emails of 18 November and 3 December 2021. I would be
grateful if you could contact me to confirm which documents you are
seeking to make sure ABC has conducted the correct searches.
In addition, the ABC is about to close for its annual shutdown and we will
not be able to progress your matter for a few weeks. We would therefore be
grateful if you would agree an extension under s 15AA of the Freedom of
Information Act (Cth) 1982, such that the decision would be due by
Wednesday 3 February 2022 when third party consultation is complete and
staff resourcing is back to usual levels. Consultation depends on your
confirmation of the scope of the request as well.
Would you kindly reply by email as to whether you agree to this extension
of time, and to confirm you are contactable at this email address and that
you are still interested in pursuing the FOI request?
Many thanks, FOI Advisor

our attempts to assist you with your request such that it complies with
the requirements of section 15 of the Freedom of Information Act (Cth)
1982 and can be processed.
You have not responded to our emails of 8 and 18 November, 3 and 21
December 2021. The Right to Know website status as of today reads: “We're

status.”
As such, the processing of this request is suspended until you contact me
via email or phone to confirm you are contactable at this email address
and wish to pursue the request (refer also our email of 21 December).
If I do not hear from you by 19 January 2022, the file will be closed as

time, please do not hesitate to contact me so that I may assist you in
meeting the legislative requirements.
