Dear FOI,
Thank you for having released the above document, I greatly appreciate it.
I seek internal review of this decision, on the ground that the amounts paid by DIAC at clauses 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 should not be withheld on the s47G conditional exemption ground.
That is because the amount paid, nearly 9 years ago, could not reasonably be expected to prejudice the lawful business of anyone.
This is because the information is from such a long time ago (and unlikely to reflect current rates that are being paid), and because it is such an unimportant piece of information that it could not reasonably be considered as something that would affect the business.
Alternatively, even if there is a prejudicial effect; the effect would be so minor, so as to be outweighed by the public interest factors favoring disclosure. (Including the ability of the public to scrutinize the use of public money)
Yours sincerely,
John Smith
