Kinship Carer and Services Australia relationship
Dear ACT Office For Children, Youth And Family Support,
I am kinship carer for my nephews 20 month old son who came in to our care via Child Safety in November 2022. Since then my brother has had to use all his leave as we are not able to get CCS approval. We had to return to work and are now substantially out of pocket awaiting CCS approval. This has been due to a multitude of misinformation given us, lost paperwork we provided, incorrect forms leading to time delays and ATC letters expiring. Nevertheless we will work through the issues but I feel the need to advocate for change especially for children in care, carers and Child Safety. I would love to discuss my concerns and thoughts and would appreciate a meeting if possibleto do so.
Thank you
Yours faithfully,
Jodi Leis
