Before proceeding with your FOI request I would just like to confirm that you are seeking documents from the Australian Federal Department of Infrastructure and Transport in relation to the Lac-Mégantic train derailment/explosion in Canada.

I would like to advise you that preliminary searches have so far not identified any documents relevant to your request and it is unlikely that this Department holds documents relating to this matter.

If you have made your request to this Department in error I would be grateful if you could withdraw your request by return email.

If you have not made your request in error to this Department I would also be grateful for your advice so that we can continue to process your request.
