How was Public Services Funded prior to WWII?
Dear Australian Taxation Office,
I am contacting you to ask for documents showing how public services were funded prior to World War's One and Two.
Taxation of Australians only came about during World War Two, in order to fund the war operation, or War Games.
Yet since the second World War ended on 12 September, 1944, Australians continue to pay tax , and in various forms. I need to know why and I am hoping relevant documents, Reports, Acts etc.... which may be in your possession, (international and domestic), can help shed light on this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Deborah-May
