FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (FOI) REQUEST
I refer to your application for documents under the Freedom of Information
Act 2016 (the Act) which was received by the Office of the Legislative
Assembly (OLA) by email on 3 November 2021. You have sought access to:
o a copy of the Guide for Members of Assembly Committees, as referred to
in the recent Review of Committee Support published by the Standing
Committee on Administration and Procedure.
I am an Information Officer appointed by the Clerk of the Legislative
Assembly for the ACT under section 18 of the Act to deal with access
applications made under Part 5 of the Act.
In accordance with section 40 of the FOI Act, OLA is required to provide
you with a decision on access to the documents you have requested within
20 working days of receipt, being 1 December 2021.
Processing charges may be payable in relation to your request. Should you
be liable to pay a processing charge, you will be notified in writing of
the preliminary assessment and given an opportunity to make an application
that the charge should be remitted in whole or in part. This may affect
the time within which you application is processed.
The Act requires that details regarding your request such as your
application, decision notices, and information released to you, must be
recorded in the agency disclosure log and be made publicly available after
the decision on access has been provided to you. Please be aware that
while no personal information will be included in the published
information, all other information will be published on the Assembly
website.
