I apologise for the misinformation in the letter you received today. The extension under section 15AA of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 is until 1 July 2013 for the reasons stated in the letter.

I note that the letter to you dated 7 May 2013 stated that the decision would be finalised on 1 June 2013. However, the AFP is still finalising our response to you and you should receive a decision by the end of this week. I apologise for the delay as we have had an influx of requests in recent weeks.
