Do the royals past and present pay taxation on earnings in AustraliaZ
Dear Australian Taxation Office,
It was decreed a number of years ago that Queen Elizabeth voluntarily agreed to pay taxes on earnings in Britain.
Did any such legal obligation exist for her to pay taxes on earnings in her other realms. Or was this issue never raised. And today does King Charles pay Australian taxes on any Australian income he may have inherited.i don't wish for any actual amounts just are royals expected to pay taxes like other income earners in Australia. Or do they enjoy non taxable status by their royal status
Yours faithfully,

Decision
I have decided to refuse you access to any such documents in full, pursuant to section 38 of the FOI Act
as I am prohibited from disclosing information about third parties under the taxpayer confidentiality
provisions.
For your perusal. Is there an office set up for the Australian crown. I just felt this would be of interest to citizens of Australia how the Australian realm compares to Britains. Its totally bizarre we dont have any education on the royal system If anyone wants to have a crack at it feel free

Hi Allan
I am a user on this site who has stumbled across your FOI request.
The FOI Act gives everyone a right to documents, not information.
I'm afraid, in its current form, you FOI request is invalid as it is not a request for documents. The ATO may decide to administratively answer your questions, however noting that it has no legal obligation to.
If the ATO doesn't answer your questions, perhaps you could reword your request as follows: (I seek access to) "documents that contain the tax obligations for royal families". Hope this helps!
Best of luck
