Council works undertaken on sewer / drainage along rear of my property from 2011 to 2021
Dear Darebin City Council,
I am requesting information of the works that council has undertaken on the council sewer running along the back of my property at 38 Dorrington Ave Reservoir 3073 to ensure there are no leaks or broken pipes as I continually have water saturating the back of my property along the easement.
I am requesting information on all works done on the council sewer over the past 10 years (from 2011 to today (17th July 2021).
Yours faithfully,
Bob Gatsis (aka. Haralampos Gatsis).

Dear Mr Gatsis,
I refer to your attached FOI Application that was received by Council on 17 July 2021.
You will note that I've attached Council's FOI Application Form for completion as well as a Fact Sheet.
Please note that Section 17(2A) of the Act requires that an application fee of $30.10 accompanies a request for access. Such a fee did not accompany your request. Accordingly, I cannot process your request until you pay the application fee.
During lockdown, Council only has two methods of payment acceptance. That being either by cheque or money order made out to the City of Darebin for $30.10, and mailed to Council, marked to my attention.
If you are unable to pay the fee on the basis of hardship, please state your reason in writing and provide any evidence that you believe supports your claim. A decision will then be made as to whether your hardship claim is accepted or not and you will be informed of the outcome along with any applicable review rights.
I also refer to Dot Point 3, on page 2 of the application form, where it states that the FOI Act prescribes a process of notification and consultation that I must follow in accordance with Section 33(3) - Document affecting personal privacy before any documents containing personal affairs information may be released. While I would ordinarily have an obligation under the FOI Act to make a decision within 30 days from the date upon which your valid application was received, the process of consultations with third parties may result in an extension of 15 days.
However, where an applicant indicates that they do not seek access to personal affairs information as that information is not sought, and they are happy to receive documents with personal affairs information deleted the processing of your application is likely to fall in the 30 day tile limit or earlier if possible.
Please confirm again if personal affairs information is relevant to your needs by return email. If you do not require personal affairs information, it will all redacted from the documents.
If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact me via return email or on (03) 8470 8888
