I respectfully request all documents and reports relating to:
The number of nursing homes closed in NSW in the 2014 calendar year and the total cost of closing them.
Total government funding provided to Uniting Care Ageing across Australia in the 2014 calendar year.
The cost per person per year in full-time nursing care.

I write regarding FOI request 14/15-125.
POINT 3
With regard to Point 3: “The cost per person per year in full-time nursing
care”, the information requested is publicly available for the 2013-14
financial year in the documents at the links below:

Table 4.5 shows the amount of money paid to residential aged care
providers by Government and by residents as an average per resident per
day.
2013-14 Report on the Operation of the Aged Care Act 1997:

Table 26 shows the average annual Australian Government payments for each
resident by care level type.
Accordingly, would you consider withdrawing that part of the FOI request?

I am advised by the relevant area of the Department of Social Services
that the Department does not hold any documents for an entity called
‘UnitingCare Ageing’ which is Australia-wide.
There is an entity ‘UnitingCare Ageing NSW/ACT’, which does not satisfy
the scope of your request for funding provided to “Uniting Care Ageing
across Australia”.
Could you please clarify about which organisation/s you are requesting
the funding information?
Also, I write to further clarify the scope of Point 2.
Once you clarify which organisations you are requesting the funding
information for, could you please clarify if you want all types of
Australian Government aged care funding, including one off funding?
Please confirm whether particular funding types should be included or not.
An early response would be greatly appreciated.

On 4 March 2015 you wrote:

year”.
The Provider with the trading name ‘UnitingCare Ageing NSW ACT’ is a
Commonwealth Home and Community Care (HACC) provider and received
Commonwealth HACC funding from the Australian Government. It does not
receive any other type of Australian Government aged care funding.
Could you please confirm that you are requesting “Australian Government
aged care funding for the Aged Care Provider with the trading name
‘UnitingCare Ageing NSW ACT’ for the calendar year 2014”.
