Corruption at the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman
Dear Commonwealth Ombudsman,
Under the FOI Act, I seek a copy of any document contained within Ms Penny McKay’s OCO email account, dated from 15 November 2020 onwards, containing the term “righttoknow” - be it because that term exists on its own within a document or because it exists as part of a wider term (ie. a website or webpage) within a document. Documents falling within the scope of my request can be quickly identified and retrieved by searching all items (including archived items) in Ms McKay’s OCO email account using the search term “righttoknow”.
I’m aware of the existence of at least 9 documents that fall within the scope of my request, for which access should be granted if this request dealt with in accordance with the obligations imposed on OCO staff by the FOI Act, the Archives Act and the Public Service Act. I can provide detailed reasoning (in response to a charges notice or access refusal decision or otherwise) as to why release of the documents the subject of my request are in the public interest including by reference to politically motivated corruption engaged in, and/or covered up, by current and former Commonwealth Ombudsman staff.
Yours faithfully,
APS
