Correspondence to the Secretary of the Treasury
Dear Department of the Treasury,
I am lodging a request for documents pursuant the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
Background
I refer to a letter from the Secretary of the Treasury, Dr Martin Parkinson, dated 6 December 2014.
In this letter at Paragraph three Dr Parkinson states:
"ASIC has advised me that it has given extensive consideration to the issues raised, and has referred some of your issues to specialist teams to undertake further enquiries".
Dr Parkinson also states in this letter at paragraph four:
"ASIC has reaffirmed that it reviews all correspondence for new issues and has assured me that if new evidence or information to substantiate your allegations is provided that it would again undertake a review of your concerns. If any new information comes to light, I encourage you to bring this to ASIC's attention"
The documents I seek
The documents I seek are copies on any correspondence from the Chairman of ASIC or other officers of ASIC to Dr Parkinson that would form the basis of the above representations made by Dr Parkinson.
If the correspondence was by way of a phone conversation, then I am seeking copies of any file notes taken down to record what was stated during any such phone conversation.
Otherwise I am seeking copies of any documents used by Dr Parkinson to draft the letter dated 6 December 2014
Yours faithfully,
Phillip Sweeney
