Good Morning Indiana Clibbord,
I am writing to advise you that we have discussed your request with the
relevant area of the University and they have advised the following:
* the email was added to the parliamentary engagement site in error as
it was addressed to a senator and associated with their parliamentary
duties, this meant that the letter was in breach of parliamentary
privilege when it was added, hence its swift removal.
* the letter, in the exact same format/state etc will be re-added once
it no longer attracts parliamentary privilege.
* In its current form, and noting the privilege attached to it, it would
attract a full exemption under s46(c) of the FOI Act.
Please let us know if you wish to proceed with your request at this time,
and we will endeavour to provide you with a decision notice as soon as
possible.
Kind regards,
ANU FOI Team
