Dear Sir,

Thank you for your enquiry.

4 April 2019

Dear Sir

OUR REF:  18/19-35  |  Application for access to Documents

I refer to your application received by the University on 14 February
2019, in which you sought access to the following documents under the
Right to Information Act 2009 (“the RTI Act”):

“I would like to see complaints made about any of the Residential Colleges
in 2018.”

In my correspondence to you dated 12 March 2019, I advised you that your
application was non-compliant, and provided further advice on how to make
your application compliant.

DECISION

I have not received a response to the aforementioned correspondence, and
the deficiencies in your application have not been corrected.  Pursuant to
section 33(6) of the RTI Act, I have therefore decided on this date (4
April 2019) to refuse to deal with your application.

Please note that this does not preclude you from submitting a new
application at any stage.

INTERNAL REVIEW

If you are not satisfied with my decision (or any part of it), you may
apply to the University for an internal review under section 80 of the RTI
Act.  An application for an internal review must be made in writing, and
any such application must be lodged within 20 business days of the date of
this decision.

Please refer to the University’s [1]Internal Review Applications webpage
for more information.  Applications may be emailed to [2][UQ request email]

EXTERNAL REVIEW

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the internal review, or if
you wish to proceed directly to an external review, you may apply in
writing to the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) for an
external review of the decision under section 85 of the RTI Act.  It is
not necessary to have an internal review before applying for an external
review.

Any application for external review must be made in writing to the Office
of the Information Commissioner within 20 business days of the date of
this decision or the date of the internal review decision (whichever is
later).

Please refer to the OIC’s [3]Apply for external review webpage for more
information.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me on (07) 3443 1148 or via email to
[4][UQ request email] if you have any queries or require any further
information.

Regards,
