Dear Department of Veterans' Affairs,

I am seeking the following information.

The number of compensation/injury claims submitted in each of the
following years, 2022, 2023 and 2024 for

Claims submitted by ESO's,
Claims submitted by Legal/Paid Advocacy entities, and
Claims submitted by veterans themselves.

And in what state the veteran resides.

NOTE: By injury claims submitted this is for the number of claim
itself NOT CLAIMS FOR SPECIFIC CONDITIONS (i.e. One claim with 5
separate conditions claimed is ONE CLAIM.)

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (the Department) has received your
request for access to information under the Freedom of Information Act
1982 (FOI Act). I note you have requested access to the following:

ordinary 30 day statutory period for processing your request commenced
from the day after that date.

 

If we are in a position to make a decision on your request earlier than
this date, we will endeavour to do so.

 

The statutory period may also be extended if we need to consult third
parties or for other reasons permitted under the FOI Act. We will advise
you if this happens.

apply to your request for non-personal information before we process any

an extension of time for up to 30 days under 15AA of the FOI Act, with a
decision expected no later than 19 May 2025.

It would assist the Department in managing its FOI caseload if you could

Apr 2025.

 

If agreed, the Department is required to provide your name and contact
details to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
