Dear Kevin
Thank you for your email. You have emailed the Attorney-General’s Department Freedom of Information section.
The Attorney-General’s Department does not hold documents proving Australia is a signatory to the International covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Human Rights. However, the National Archives have advised that you can obtain these documents under the Archives Act 1983 by contacting the National Reference Services.
You can place a request for access to records with the National Reference Services via the Archives’ website at http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/askques... or by emailing [email address]. More information about access to archival records can be viewed at http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/fact-sh....
Given that the Attorney-General’s Department does not hold documents in regards to your request, we ask that you please withdraw your request. If we do not hear from you by COB 28 September 2018 we will take your request to have been withdrawn.
I trust this has been helpful.
Kind regards
FOI Case Officer

This request was sent to the attorney General's Department. It should have gone the Australian Human Rights Commission.

This was sought for the purpose of using it in court to seek assurance from magistrate or judge that one would receive a fair trial.
Nothing of substance has been received yet.
