Dear Jimp,

the new Brisbane Metro transport service.

Action Required – Non Complaint Application

Section 24(2) of the RTI Act stipulates the requirements for an RTI
application to be compliant, unfortunately, your application needs your
attention to make it compliant, and continue processing, as detailed
below.

o An RTI application must include an application fee of $55.75 as per
Section 24(2)(a). This application fee is not able to be waived.
Please provide payment of the application fee via the attached credit
card authorisation form.

Please provide this information by 7 November 2024.

Timeframes

Under the RTI Act Council is allowed 25 business days (from the date we
receive your compliant application) to process your application and
provide you with a decision. I will notify you of the due date once we
receive your compliant application.

Please note that the date of decision may change depending on a number of
factors including the following-

·       if consultation with yourself, or other parties, is necessary;
and/or

·       if an extension of time is required to process your application,
as per Section 35 of the RTI Act.

Consultation may be required

If it is determined that the documents you have requested could be of
concern to another party, the decision maker will be required to consult
with them as per Section 37 of the RTI Act. The decision maker will advise
you of this in the first instance. The consultation process adds 10
business days to the processing time of your application, if applicable.

RTI Processing and Access Charges

If your application will take longer than 5 hours to process, the decision
maker may send you charges estimate notice, as per Section 36 of the RTI
