Age pensioners receiving the Work Bonus in tax year 2012-2013
Dear Department of Human Services,
I desire to know how many aged pensioners received the "work bonus" in 2012-2013 tax year, which allows them to earn an extra $250 p.p.p., and accumulate for later use any amount that is not used, up to $6500 per annum.
Also, what percentage of age pensioners, does this represent?
Yours faithfully,
Miss Ria Smit

Dear FOI.LEGAL.TEAM,
I am replying to a message I received from lawyer Amanda McLeod. This message states that I must pay $25.50 in fees and that it must be paid by check or money order, which would be another $10.50, so a total of $36.00.
Really! $36.00 for one page of information to be downloaded from a computer? Makes me think that maybe you will send it to me gold plated and in a frame.
But all kidding aside. I am on a full Age Pension and am trying for myself and several others (in fact I think there will be thousands) to see if we can't make our circumstances a little better by getting what the Government gives to a very select few. But I don't know the "how many" of that few, and I need that to make our case. If you mean I have to sacrifice even more to try and get justice for the rest of us, then I think that you are charging the wrong person. It is not like I need this to further my career or finish my studies. I am just trying to get relief from the discrimination that we now face.
Honestly, that is why I think this fee should not be imposed on me. I am told that the information is no more than "1 page of data" and that it is "extracted" from a computer. To put that in an e.mail is really so simple and does not have extra cost, so surely you can help us fight for justice.
Yours sincerely,
Ria Smit
