Adelaide airport curfew - approvals to land and Ministerial decision making
Dear Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development,
I would appreciate receiving information about the Adelaide Airport curfew and in particular applications in the past 3 years to land after 11pm and before 6am.
I would also like to see information about the assessment process of these applications and the analysis into, for example, economic benefits versus health and wellbeing of the Adelaide community.
Yours faithfully,
Colleen McDonnell
Dear Ms McDonnell
I refer to your request for access to the documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act), relating to Adelaide Airport curfew information. I am contacting you on behalf of the Office of the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
I am writing to advise you that under section 16(1)(b) of the FOI Act an agency is able to transfer a request if the subject matter of the document is more closely connected with the functions of another agency.
Accordingly, your request to the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development has been transferred to the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development, whose functions are more closely connected to the subject matter of your request. As the Department is already processing a request for the same subject matter please be aware that these requests will be treated as one.
I would be grateful if you could provide your phone number as soon as possible so I can contact you to discuss your request. The Department may be able to assist you outside of the FOI process - this can generally be done quicker and at no cost to the applicant. You can send your details to [email address] if you do not wish for your details to be published on the right to know website.
Regards,

Just a heads up, Right to Know can be used for administrative requests like this which aren't technically FOI.
